Heecon BV

Heecon is a family business with more than 35 years of experience in contracting and machine building. What started in 1989 as a small-scale initiative of Kees Heestermans, grew into an established name in the sector, far beyond the country's borders. Today the company is managed by Mark Oomen, together with a team full of passion and expertise.

This is who we are

Making machines is one thing, but people make the difference. Today there are 12 permanent employees and 15 independent workers. This allows us to put together five teams that go out daily to chop. Meanwhile, another part of the team works in the workshop on new machines or maintenance.

Our people have diverse backgrounds: from experienced welders and engineers to young school leavers and trainees taking their first steps here. Everyone contributes to the same mission: to deliver top quality in the greenhouses and in the workshop.

What we do

Every day we help customers at home and abroad. We do this efficiently and safely with the right machines and people. Whether it's tomatoes, peppers, cucumbers, strawberries, raspberries or blackberries: our team works quickly and carefully, without compromising on quality.

We take that practical experience directly to our workshops. We design, build and use our own machines, and you can feel that in the quality. What we need in the field, we develop in-house. That way we keep innovating without becoming complex.

Wage work and mechanization

What makes Heecon unique is the combination of practical experience and technical know-how. We build our own machines and use them daily in our contracting business. With more than 1,500 hectares of contracting work per year in Belgium and the Netherlands, we know exactly what works and where things can be improved. Thanks to that intensive experience, we develop robust, innovative machines that are tested to perfection for the toughest conditions. As a result, our customers get solutions that are reliable and durable.

Heecon machines are deliberately designed with minimal electronics, making them hardly prone to failure, even after intensive cleaning or disinfection. This thoughtful simplicity ensures that our machines continue to perform optimally even after decades.

Choosing Heecon is choosing proven quality, developed and tested in the field.

Rooted in the Kempen

Since 2007 we have been located in Meer (Hoogstraten), where our warehouse, workshop, warehouse and office space are under one roof. From there we serve customers in Belgium, the Netherlands and beyond. Growing in quality tells us more than growing in volume.

Family business with vision for the future

Heecon is and always has been a family story. In 2012, Martijn Heestermans took over the helm from his father. Mark Oomen, who started as an intern in 1999 and since then has known literally every nook and cranny of the company, is now the manager. His wife Tessa made a remarkable career switch from the healthcare sector to an administrative jack-of-all-trades. With her enthusiasm and new insights, she brings extra energy to the company.

Our two children Ruben and Robin are literally and figuratively growing along with the company. Handy, involved and perhaps the next generation.
